Located in Ham Tin Valley on Lantau Island, Ham Tin Creek Side Villa is on the doorstep of the beach, offering a wide-open outdoor space in concrete forest Hong Kong. In this site, 9 villas are interspersed in a peaceful setting. A natural stream runs through the valley, you can hear the sound of running water in the rich nature, feel the endless waves and breeze at the seaside, and the colorful butterflies dancing among the flowers. Return to the creekside villa and take a leisurely stroll, as if entering a time and space where time stands still.
An ancient towering banyan tree remains at the foot of the valley as a sign of the entrance to the villa complex, and when night falls, the old tree is illuminated like a lighthouse to the sea. The landscape design is in close dialogue with the spirit of the site, aiming to extend the atmosphere created by the site and establish a sustainable outdoor ecology through the on-site elements of the site. Echoing the gentle waves lapping the shoreline, the winding benches enclose a private social space within the villa's garden. The breakwater composed of gabion walls shields the old tree lawn from wind and waves, while providing an elevated sea viewing platform. A transient stream stitches the ground between the villas, forming an important rainwater collection pipe that replenishes groundwater and quickly drains surface runoff during the rainy season. At the same time, a network of septic tanks runs parallel beneath the river, serving as bio-ecological treatment and overflow discharge. Stream - filled with semi-aquatic flowering plants that create a sense of ritual for homecoming. It is here that life forms part of the undulating landscape journey.
